Tyrel Babkirk

I was born in Peace River, AB - 1977, but started Grade 1 in Hay River, N.W.T.  I basically grew up on the Hay River Golf Course as my family was very active in getting the golf course started in the early 80’s.  After graduating Grade 12 in Hay River ( 95 ), I pursued my passion for golf at the Lethbridge Community College in the Professional Golf Management Program.  While attending Lethbridge I was fortunate to apprentice at the Kananaskis Country Golf Course, Priddis Greens Golf & Country Club and Canyon Meadows Golf & Country Club.  I eventually moved to BC to lengthen my golf employment, where I worked at the Harvest Golf Club and then the Summerland Golf & Country Club where I became the Head Professional.  After 15 years of growth and development, I moved back to Airdrie, Alberta, taking on another new adventure in becoming the Director of Golf / Head Professional here at the Apple Creek Golf Course.

I enjoy every aspect of the golf industry and welcome the challenges along with it.  I have been fortunate to meet so many talented Leaders, Coaches, Players and People throughout my time in the PGA of Canada.

Everyday you’re involved in the golf industry is great day.  I am looking forward to another fantastic season and everything it brings, on and off the golf course.
