Born in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Grew up in Humboldt, Saskatchewan. Hockey was my first passion, like most canadian kids. Started playing golf at the age of 9 at the Humboldt Golf Club. Originally golf, was just something we did in the summer when we werent playing street hockey and/or on the ice. It slowly grew into my second passion and eventually became something I wanted to do as a career. I’ve been fortunate to work for a few different facilities, while trying to explore and see everything the business of golf had to offer. Started working at Bear Creek Golf Club in Grande Prairie, for a mentor of mine in Danny Grant. Danny Grant was then awarded the GM position in Barrhead, and I followed him to work at the Barrhead Golf Club. I spent 5 years working for Danny Grant, learning as much as I could about the industry. Eventually, I moved on to work for Jeff Cuthbertson at Cougar Creek Golf Resort, where I worked for 2 years, before wanting to move on to a larger resort. I spent the 2008 season working at the Fairmont Banff Springs Golf Club, at the end of the season, I returned to Edmonton. I was hired by Mark Beckwith and Andy Neilsen to come join the Sturgeon Valley Golf and Country Club staff. I spent 6 years at Sturgeon (4 as an assistant, and 2 as Head Professional), I left the industry for a year to sell cars, but returned quickly to golf as it is my passion. I spent 2 years at Royal Mayfair Golf Club as an associate professional working with a great crew there, led by Matt Johnson. In 2019, I returned to the Head Professional chair, when Glenn Carr and Wayne McBean gave me the opportunity here at Lakeside Golf Club. Very fortunate to have worked for some wonderful people in the industry, and have met some wonderful golfers along my journey.
