My name is Lucas Rachkowski. I am a young, passionate professional looking to create a lasting and meaningful career in the golf industry. I was born and raised in Kelowna, BC and moved to Calgary, AB in 2025 to both grow my career in the golf industry, and live with my beautiful girlfriend, Kelly.
I got my first job volunteering at a small driving range in 2014 at the age of 11. I would continue to work, practice, and learn about the game of golf there for 8 years. I picked up a second job washing carts at Kelowna Spring Golf Club from the age of 14 until 16. After some years of schooling and other part-time jobs, I became a club attendant at Harvest Golf Club in 2021. By the end of my 4 years at The Harvest, I worked my way into becoming an Apprentice Professional and was more determined than ever to pursue a career in golf. I am set to start my first year at Priddis Greens G&CC in 2025 as an Apprentice Professional.
| Q. What do you enjoy most about the game and the business of golf? The overall happiness that come with being around a golf course. It is a perfect getaway for all members and guests, and we get to make it even more special for them. |
| Q. What or who influenced you in becoming a Golf Professional? My grandmother, Marilyn, who played a big part in why I started playing this game, and my 2 life-long mentors, Robin and Robert Letvinchuk. |
| Q. What would you be doing if you weren’t a Golf Professional? I would either be working in the tourism and hospitality industry, or teaching Mathematics. |

| Q. What is the first club you take out of your bag on the driving range? 7 iron |
| Q. What is the most number of holes of golf you have played in one day? 45 holes. Many golfers have done more, but personally, I don’t see myself every breaking that personal best. |
| Q. What is your career low round and where did you shoot this score? I have shot a 68 (-4) two times at Harvest Golf Club in Kelowna, BC. |
| Q. What significant accomplishments are you most proud of? I finished T-1 in the 2023 IPGA Tour Championship with a score of 72 (E) at Gallagher’s Canyon Golf Club. |
| Q. What other interests, hobbies and passions can you share? I have played hockey my whole life, the majority of it as a goalie. I love watching sports, movies, specifically older movies from the 80’s and 90’s, and any old video of Norm MacDonald I can find. |
