Josh Gardner has been employed in the golf industry for the past 20 years. During this time he was employed first as a back shop employee, and then moved quickly towards a career in the golf business. As an amateur golfer, Josh enjoyed great success at local and provincial levels. Successes in this stage consisted of winning junior and men’s championships. During this time Josh had credible success as a hockey player competing at the highest levels of junior hockey. After graduation from grade school Josh attended college for a career in professional golf. He majored in the Professional Golf Management from Camosun College: Victoria, British Columbia. During his apprenticeship he completed his CPGA Elite Program. During college Josh was a member of the college golf team, and went on to win two Western Canadian College Golf League Championships. After graduation from college, Josh decided to pursue a career as a Golf Professional. Josh began his career in the golf industry as Assistant professional at the Medicine Hat Golf and Country Club. Josh went on to work as an Assistant Golf Professional at the SilverTip Golf Resort in Canmore, Alberta in search of new and enjoyable experiences in different aspects of the industry. During the winter months he was employed with a world-renowned resort company, Club Med in Cancun, Mexico and Paradise Island, Bahamas. As golf instructor in Club Med, Josh learned to speak French and Spanish and taught golf lessons to men, women and children from all around the world. After gaining knowledge in the resort industry Josh pursued a career as Teaching Professional at the Eagle Butte Golf Academy in Dunmore, Alberta. While employed with Eagle Butte, Josh finished his apprenticeship with the CPGA and became certified as a Level 4 TCCP golf instructor and Class "A" CPGA professional. After a year as teaching professional in Dunmore, Josh moved to Calgary, Alberta where he was the Head Golf Professional and Golf Services Center Manager at the highly proclaimed private facility, Canyon Meadows Golf and Country Club. During his 11 year reign at Canyon Meadows Josh made many new friends, business associates and was a major part of the inaugural Shaw Charity Classic a PGA Champions Tour Event. Josh can now be found in the Spring, Summer and Fall months passing on his passion for the game as Teaching Professional at Golfuture YYC in Calgary, Alberta.
