Jody Boutin,  Teaching Professional and two-time "Junior Teacher of the Year" nominee, takes great pride in sharing some of the latest instructional methods with all of his students. Inspired by Chuck Hogan, Dr. Gary Wiren and Fred Shoemaker, has developed improvement programs that accelerate his students learning, which in turn allows them to enjoy their game to its full potential.

Q. What do you enjoy most about the game and the business of golf?
The game of golf enables us to enjoy nature as well as compete against ourselves. There is no better way to spend an afternoon.
Q. What or who influenced you in becoming a Golf Professional?
My father influenced me to play, starting when I was 10 years old and within a short time I wanted to become a golf professsional.
Q. What would you be doing if you weren’t a Golf Professional?
I would be an executive in one of the highrises downtown specializing in community development.
Q. What is your favourite golf course in the world?
Oakmont GC in Pittsburgh
Q. Who is your favourite PGA Tour player?
Ben Hogan from the past and Tiger Woods for the present.
Q. What is the first club you take out of your bag on the driving range?
52 degree wedge
Q. What is the most number of holes of golf you have played in one day?
180.....longest day of golf raising money for cancer research.
Q. What is your career low round and where did you shoot this score?
68 - shot at Rideau View Golf Club in Ottawa
Q. What significant accomplishments are you most proud of?
Passing my Class A written and playing tests.
Q. What other interests, hobbies and passions can you share?
I enjoy biking, walking, hiking and reading.
