Biography: Bob McArthur 38 Year CPGA Class Member Teaching Development -1999 P.G.A. of Canada National "Teacher of the Year" -1998/1999 P.G.A. of Alberta Provincial "Teacher of the Year" -2005/2006 Golf Magazine "Top 100 Teachers in America" -2005/2006 National Post Top 50 Teachers in Canada" - Head Teaching Professional and Lead Coach for the Golf Channel Academy at Cottonwood G&CC -Head Teaching Professional and Lead Coach for the Golf Channel Academy @ Heritage Pointe Golf Club 1998 - 2021 - Conduct numerous teaching programs including private, corporate, short game and yearly coaching utilizing 8 golf professionals at the facility. - Secured major sponsorship of $25,000.00 from Shane Homes for Women Fighting Cancer from the Fairway” ladies only one day golf schools, to be implemented for the 2009 golf season, whereby all proceeds go to Alberta Cancer Research. - Secured Nike and Callaway as major sponsors for the Golf Academy. - Work several 60-70 hour weeks within the golf season. - Currently have 0ver1800 student data base - Operated indoor instruction facility utilizing state of the art video coaching system. - Current Callaway and Nike Staff Player since 2004 - 1995 - 2005 Director for the Gary Roberts Children Foundation Charity raising funds of over $500,000.00 for special equipment purchases for the Alberta Children’s Hospital - Head Instructor for Bob McArthur Golf Instruction Schools (1994 - current) - Instruct 200 students at two leased facilities in the south city over a five week period throughout the off season. - Host an outdoor clinic of over 80 players to promote several programs taught at Heritage Pointe.
