I was born and raised in Medicine Hat Alberta in 1963. I started golfing at age 6 and havent stopped since. None of my immediate family have ever golfed including my Mom and Dad or my 3 siblings. Ihave 2 incredible daughters Ali and Dani who are the loves of my life. Ihave also been blessed with 2 wonderful grand kids River and Finley. Ihave enjoyed coaching my kids through there young lives including ringette, hockey and basketball. I look forward to doing it again with my grand kids. Started my working life with Sun-Rype Products as a sales rep and later an Area Manager. Got back into golf at the age of 30 as an Assistant Pro for Glenn Carr at Connaught Golf Club in Medicine Hat.Worked my way through the program and became Head Professional at the Medicine Hat Golf and Country Club in 2000. A position I still proudly hold.

Q. What do you enjoy most about the game and the business of golf?

I love that you can never beat the game. One day you are on top of the world and the next day all hell can break loose. Its humbling and makes you respect the greatness of the tour pros.

Q. What or who influenced you in becoming a Golf Professional?

My uncle Lyle Fynn got me started with this wonderful game at the age of 6

Most likely a police officer
