David Robinson

I was born in Glasgow, Scotland then moved to Edmonton at the age of 3. Our family settled in Sherwood Park and I grew up playing at Broadmoor and Sherwood Park Golf Club. I didn’t really take golf seriously until I switched from left handed to right handed at 18. My handicap came down quickly and I chose to enter the golf program at Grant MacEwen. That year, I joined the team at Fort in View, led by Gord Hayward. After 4 seasons, I moved to Calgary to work with Ron Laugher at Priddis Greens. Over the last 21 years in Calgary, I have also spent time at Lakeside, Crystal Ridge and Lynx Ridge. I am now enetering my second season as Head Professional and VP of Operations at Heritage Pointe Golf Club. 

I currenlty reside in Okotoks with my wife Amber and my kids Maisie and Charlie. If I am not at the club, you will probably find me in a river somewhere or butchering songs on the guitar.
