JENKINSON TEAM WINS PRO-LADY

Garett Jenkinson (Golf Performance Canada at Inglewood) with partner Carey Cameron won the Pro-Lady South with a score of 7-under 64. Jenkinson was also victorious on the pro side shooting a 3 –under 68. Click here for all the results.

PLAYOFF NEEDED TO DECIDE WINNER

Alex Steffens (Inglewood G&CC) made birdie on the first playoff hole to defend the PGA of Alberta Ladies Championship sponsored by Dexim Golfwear. Day one leader Rhonda Carter (Canyon Meadows G&CC) finished second and Elizabeth Goldsmith (Country Hills GC) finished in third.

LOCAL KNOWLEDGE HELPED WITH VICTORY

Weston Gillett (Drayton Valley GC) played his junior golf at Lacombe G&CC. The local knowledge helped him score a 3-under 68 and claim victory at the Golf Supply House Professional Series Event. Finishing one shot back was Keith Whitecotton (The Quarry GC) with a 2-under 69. Professional Series #6 heads to Lacombe G&CC

The draw is posted for the Lacombe G&CC edition of the Golf Supply House Professional Series circuit. Forty-nine professionals will compete for a total purse of $6,600 on June 15th with tee times beginning at 9:00am. Click here to see the current field and draw.

Playing Ability Test: Speargrass GC

The second Playing Ability Test of 2015 will be taking place at Speargrass GC on June 16 & 17 right after the Players’ Tour event. Eighteen players will look to put forth their “A” game to pass the PAT and earn their card. Tee-times will begin at 1:20pm on day one and 9:50am on day two. Tournament of Champions Draw is now posted

The draw is now posted for the PGA of Alberta Tournament of Champions presented by Dunning Golf. Two person teams consisting of a Club Champion and Head Golf Professional or Executive Golf Professional will play in a best ball format. The event, which is scheduled for Tuesday, June 9th will begin at 1:30 as a shotgun and is taking place at River Bend GC. For more tournament details and to see the full field click here.

The cold and windy conditions didn’t stop Keith Whitecotton (The Quarry GC) from winning the Golf Supply House Professional Series Event hosted by Coloniale GC. Whitecotton shot a great round of 3-under 69. Dallas Cantera (Cardiff G&CC) finished in second place with 70. Jason Vaughan (Fort McMurray GC) also played well with a 72. DEVON WINS THE STAYPRIME

Congratulations to Wade Romanick (Devon GC), Wilf Pittner, Peter Blandy, and Keith Fowler for winning the 2nd annual Stay Prime Invitational hosted by Innisfail GC.
