New for this year, the PGA of Alberta has added two Seniors’ Division events to the tournament schedule built for members 50-years and older. This year’s locations will be Turner Valley GC on June 10th and Cougar Creek GR on August 12th. These events will give members that are 50-years and older an opportunity to play in more tournaments during the season and compete against their peers of a similar age. The Seniors’ division will tee off immediately after the 1-day GSH Series event and will play from a reduced yardage as well as for a small purse.
The 2019 Tournament Eligibility Form is now available on the PGA of Alberta website. The form is required to be filled out by every member playing in a PGA of Alberta sanctioned tournament this year. After the form has been submitted and approved by the PGA of Alberta office, the member will receive notification by email stating they are now able to register for events online 28-days prior to the event date. Please refer to the tournament page on the website to see when each tournament opens for registration.

We would like to give a special thank you to Trevor Goplin (The Derrick G&WC) for all of his efforts over the last two years as President of the PGA of Alberta.
At the conclusion of the Annual General Meeting on March 4th, Trevor officially passed the torch to the new PGA of Alberta President Greg McGarry (Glendale G&CC). Greg has been a Board Member since 2008 and brings with him a wealth of knowledge of the Association as he moves into his new role. Greg officially announced Dale Tomlinson (The Winston GC) as the new Vice President.
We hope everyone is excited for the 2019 PGA of Alberta tournament season! We have some exciting new initiatives for the upcoming season. If your golf club would like to host a tournament in the future, please contact the PGA of Alberta Office. Please be aware that Tournament Registration will NOT open today. Members will now register for tournaments 28-days prior to the event date and not all at once for the entire season.
Every Member playing in tournaments will still be required to submit the Tournament Eligibility Form which can be done online. The Eligibility form will be available on the website the week of March 11th. An announcement will be sent once available.

The Pro-Assistant will now be hosted at Wolf Creek GR on July 8 & 9.
We have extended the registration deadline until Sunday - Don’t be the one that misses out! With an incredible line up that includes Theo Fleury, David Orr, Will Robins, Luke Elvy and many more, it’s this years must attend event! Don’t miss a great opportunity to spend of couple of days networking with your peers and get motivated for the upcoming season. Every Member that attends the Spring Seminar will receive 5 Top 100 Program Points per day, 10 points total if you attend both days!
